A THREE-month long closure order has been authorised for a property in Westbury following a spate of anti-social behaviour.

The order has been authorised for an address in Wyvern Walk following a series of calls to the premises regarding anti-social behaviour and suspected drug-related activity.

Only the occupants of the address are allowed inside the property – anyone found breaching this order will be committing an offence and may be arrested.

Sgt Kevin Harmsworth said: “We’ve been working closely with Sovereign Housing and Wiltshire Council to tackle the issues at this address, which can have a really negative impact on those living nearby.

“It is unacceptable that any residents quality of life is impacted by the behaviour of a neighbour so we are pleased that this order has been granted and we are hopeful that local residents will see an improvement.

"We will continue to patrol the area regularly to ensure the order is being adhered to.”

Cllr Simon Jacobs, Wiltshire Council's cabinet member for public health and public protection, said: “This sends out a clear message that we will take action against anti-social behaviour and protect the interests of our residents.

“We hope this order, and ongoing work with our partner organisations, will lead to a longer term improvement for residents.”
