A Workington man has been banned from the roads after he admitted drug-driving and driving while disqualified.
Mark James Bromley, 42, of Hunday Court, appeared before magistrates at the Workington court on Monday.
He admitted being at the wheel of a Vauxhall Astra on Ashfield Road on October 11, when he had 33ug of cocaine per litre of blood in his system. The legal limit is 10ug.
The court heard Bromley also had 672ug of Benzoylecgonine per litre of blood.
He admitted that at the time he was also driving while disqualified from obtaining or holding a driving licence and he was not covered by insurance to drive the vehicle.
Bromley was banned for 24 months. He was also given a community order with a requirement to abide by a two-week curfew, which will be electronically monitored.
Magistrates ordered him to pay £85 prosecution costs and £90 to fund victim services.
