A POPULAR car boot in Cockermouth is set to relaunch as a Sunday market.
Mitchell's Car Boot, the biggest of its kind in Cumbria, is set to relaunch next month as Mitchell's Sunday Market. The rebranding follows a lengthy closure brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic.
From Sunday September 6, Mitchell's Sunday Market will start at 9.30am and close at 12.30pm. Market coordinator Ann Cummings said: "The last few months offered us the opportunity to rethink Mitchell's Car Boot.
"We had previously spoken to stall holders and browsers and their feedback strongly suggested that a later start time would be welcomed.
"The mix of car boot sellers, local food producers and talented crafters means there will be something for everyone and of course our much loved Fairfield Restaurant."
