Two more males have been charged in connection with the death of Lee McKnight.

A 17-year-old boy, from Carlisle, has been charged with assisting an offender.

Arron Graham, 25, of Blackwell Road, Carlisle, has been charged with threats to kill, these are unrelated to the alleged murder of 26-year-old Lee McKnight.

They will appear at North Cumbria Magistrates' Court today (August 8) as part of the ongoing investigation.

The body of Mr McKnight was discovered just before 5.30am on July 24 in the River Caldew, in the Blackwell Hall area, near Cummersdale, just outside Carlisle, sparking a murder investigation.

Eight people have now been arrested as part of the investigation.

Four were charged last week with murder: Jamie Davidson, 25, of Beverly Rise; Carol Edgar, 46, of Charles Street; Coral Edgar, 25, of Charles Street; and Paul Roberts, 50, of Grey Street.

Janice Edgar, 40, of Hale End Road, Carlisle, was charged with assisting an offender and possession of drugs with intent to supply, and a 47-year-old Carlisle woman was released on bail following her arrest.
