Work to extend a Workington office block to make space for Sellafield staff is nearing completion, with workers set to move in next month.
Building work to West Cumbria House at Lillyhall began after Sellafield Ltd signed a 10-year lease with Cumbria County Council earlier this year.
When the lease was agreed, it was projected that 200 Sellafield Ltd staff would work from West Cumbria House.
Covid-19 has caused minor delays to the project.
A spokesman for Sellafield Ltd said: "The building will be primarily occupied by our newly created Group Business Services team and will be managed in accordance with the latest Covid-19 guidance.
"Additional team members are expected to move into the building over the coming months."
It comes as the council prepares to move more of its children's services staff into the building.
Cumbria County Council's children's services team from Workington moved into West Cumbria House following the closure of the HMRC contact centre which was originally based there.
Children's services staff are also in the process of moving there from Blencathra House in Whitehaven.
