We asked Times & Star readers to tell us where is the best place to go for a special celebration in north and west Cumbria.

Whether it is to celebrate an anniversary or a big birthday, we wanted to hear your recommendations.

With coronavirus hitting the hospitality industry hard this year, we want to help traders get back on their feet.

And our readers have told us loud and clear which is their favourite place for a good celebration: Tina's Little Tea Shed, part of Woody's in Flimby.

The shed, which is run by cafe owner Tina Wood, allows social bubbles to enjoy refreshments and afternoon tea having the premises to themselves.

Tina's Little Tea Shed is only a small part of Woody’s, a family-friendly cafe which has been operating from a van outside the cafe throughout lockdown.

Zoe Thompson said: "I would definitely recommend Tina's Little Tea Shed.

"It offers beautiful home cooked food with complete privacy and loads of quirky little items to go with theme, it's fab."

Miriam Johnston went with her godson Dylan Buckley, seven, of Carlisle and her mum Jill Johnston, owner of Jill’s Jams, which are used and sold by the cafe.

Miriam said: "Tina's Little Tea Shed is just perfect, it caters for all."

Kim Simpson said: "I would definitely recommend Tina's Little Tea Shed.

"It's so cosy and welcoming with the cutest Alice in Wonderland theme.

"The staff can't do enough for you and their food is absolutely delicious.

"And what's most reassuring is that there is literally only your social bubble inside at any one time so you feel super safe during this pandemic."

Charles Wood said: "Tina's Little Tea Shed is the best place in West Cumbria."
