NHS Blood and Transplant is appealing for people to get in touch and give blood.
The group holds blood donor sessions collecting blood from regular and new blood donors and currently has a number of appointments still available to book and donate blood across the Cumbria area.
The organisation say there is currently an urgent need for people to give blood donations.
One of these donor sessions will be held on Friday October 9, from 3pm to 7pm at Community Sports Centre, Netherhall School, Netherhall Road, Maryport, CA15 6NT.
The NHS Blood and Transplant team is hoping that new and regular donors will register and book appointments over the next few weeks.
