Cumbria is set to hold on to the sunshine a little longer before conditions turn more unsettled next week.

People across the county have enjoyed another fine day today, with higher-than-average temperatures of 17C recorded in Carlisle and 18C in Keswick and on the west coast.

Tomorrow, the Met Office says most areas will be fine with plenty of warm sunshine once early areas of cloud clear.

Early fog will clear on Monday morning for another warm day with temperatures forecast to reaches highs of between 16C and 19C.

Through Tuesday and Wednesday, forecasters say the weather will become much more unsettled with potentially heavy downpour on Tuesday followed by scattered showers the following day.

Temperatures are set to drop to highs of 11C - 14C towards the end of the week.
