A free event is set to be held tomorrow to help businesses in Cumbria connect with the digital tools they need to help grow.
Cumbria Local Enterprise Partnership will be holding a free event online tomorrow, between 2pm and 3pm.
The event, titled "An Introduction to Made Smarter", is designed to help explain the two year national scheme.
Made Smarter was created following an industry-led review of how the UK’s manufacturing industries can prosper through digital tools and innovation.
By uniting established and emerging UK technology innovators with the manufacturing community, the scheme strives to demonstrate what is possible and deliver solutions to the industry’s biggest operational challenges.
It aims to enable manufacturing businesses to be faster, more responsive and efficient, ultimately, making better products for less and allowing them to secure a competitive edge.
Cumbria Local Enterprise Partnership’s introductory event will be chaired by the local enterprise partnership's chief executive, Jo Lappin.
The online event will enable manufacturing businesses to find out more about the scheme, demonstrate how it is already benefiting businesses in Cumbria and allow businesses to see whether it could help them to secure cutting-edge technology and deliver their goals.
