Veterans in and around Workington have still had the chance to socialise despite Covid-19.
Workington Veterans Hub are still meeting despite the Army Reserve Centre being closed during the pandemic.
Founder of the group and veteran David Tennyson said: “We’ve got to meet up in smaller groups; we’re meeting up at cafes.”
The group provides a vital service for veterans in the community, particularly during the Covid-19 pandemic.
“It’s a very challenging time for a lot of the veterans; some of them have mental health issues," he said.
Mr Tennyson added that isolation and stricter rules are proving to be challenging for those with PTSD.
“We’ve all been trained by Better Bodies UK in mental health first aid," he added.
