FIREFIGHTERS from Longtown responded got an unusual call-out after a man got trapped in a city centre store lift.
The crew got the call at 12pm today.
A spokesman for Cumbria Fire and Rescue said: This afternoon they were mobilised to a rescue of persons stuck in a lift in Carlisle.
"Upon arrival at a high street store in the city centre, it was apparent there was a single individual stuck in the lift.
"The crew released a gentleman unharmed.
"We undertake all manner of rescues, including lift incidents such as this surprisingly often."
