The library will re-open for limited services on Monday, November 23.
Staff will be in the library to answer phone calls and appointments can be made and attended during allotted times.
Services include select and collect, collection of hearing aid batteries and booking slots for essential PC usage.
Councillor Deborah Earl, Cabinet Member for Public Health and Communities, said: “Libraries are important community hubs that provide access to a wide variety of services, opportunities and information. Maintaining access to these services is crucial in supporting the health and wellbeing of our residents during this lockdown period.
“A lot of work has been undertaken to ensure libraries provide a safe environment, and I’d like to thank the library staff behind the scenes for all their efforts and dedication. "
All services and appoinments must be pre-booked by phone on 017687 72656 or email Workington.library@cumbria.gov.uk.
