Individuals with a local connection looking to buy a home in Allerdale may be eligible for a discount, the borough's council has advised.
Allerdale Council has sought to make prospective homeowners in the area aware that eligible individuals are entitled to buy a home for a discounted price.
An Allerdale Council spokesman explained the parameters of the scheme: "'Discounted sale' means that the properties are sold to eligible households for a percentage of their open market value.
"If you're looking to get on the property ladder, and are interested in a discounted sale property, then why not sign-up for our register?"
Those who are signed up to the council's register will receive updates each fortnight of the properties that are available in this 'discounted sale'
