TopShop, Burton and Dorothy Perkins could be on the brink of collapse as their owner is close to administration.

Arcadia Group, owned by Sir Phillip Green is set to appoint administrators within days, putting the high street retailers, and 15,000 jobs, at risk.

All three brands have bases in Workington.

The multinational retailing company could begin the administration process on Monday after failing to obtain a cash injection from lenders.

Arcadia holds more than 500 stores across the country. It is being reported that Boohoo Group could make a bid for TopShop if Arcadia falls into administration.
