A WEST Cumbrian man has been given a 14 month driving ban for drink driving and careless driving.
Timothy Lee Pitchford, 45, of Moorfield Bank, Great Broughton, committed the offences on April 13 when he drove a Ford Focus on the A594 between Papcastle and Dovenby, Workington's Magistrates' Court was told.
He pleaded guilty to both charges. Magistrates ruled that he must complete 53 hours of unpaid work, pay a £90 victim surcharge, and £85 prosecution costs.
He must complete the unpaid work in the next 12 months. Magistrates took his guilty pleas into account.
