PEAKY Blinders is due to start filming again next year and a talent agency is on the hunt for Northerners to join the Shelby gang Manchester.

Filming had been paused due to Covid, but cameras will start rolling for Season Six of the smash-hit BBC show in the New Year according to some heavy hints by a talent agency.

Talent agency LB Casting Ltd, whose website says it has previously provided talent for Peaky Blinders, posted an advert recruiting for extras based in the North of England for 'a very well-known BBC period drama shooting early 2021 in Manchester'.

The ad leads with 'By order of... LB Casting'.

The opportunity is open to men and women and all ethnicities, but you have to be 16 or over.

They are also looking for natural looks that can portray a true reflection of the time period being told - so no tattoos, piercings or dyed hair.

This also includes false nails, tattooed or drawn eyebrows and eyelash extensions.

Women must have mid to shoulder-length hair, which isn't dyed or has obvious highlights, and cannot be bigger than a dress size 12.

Men can't have modern haircuts or fades, dyed hair or obvious highlights, and no modern beards or facial hair - they must also be willing to shave their hair.

You also can't have a chest bigger than 44".

Extras will get PACT Equity rates but travel and accommodation aren't covered.

The advert adds: "Ideally we are looking for people who drive due to early call times and late finishes.

"Please ensure you can independently get to and from Manchester outside of peak times."

It takes over 2 hours to get to Manchester from the North-East - the location is closer than Birmingham, where the show is actually set.

Anyone wishing to apply should send their details and two selfies to apply@lbcastingltd.co.uk by January 3.
