Global passenger traffic was down an estimated 67 per cent this year versus 2019 and was reduced to 1999 levels.
Travel restrictions to curb Covid-19 forced airlines to cut flights by 49 per cent, from 33.2 million in 2019 to 16.8 million during 2020.
Only 3.8 million flights flew internationally in 2020; 77 per cent of all flights were domestic.
