The North West Ambulance Service was on hand
AN ACCIDENT on Cockermouth Main Street sparked an emergency response this afternoon.
Cumbria Constabulary and the North West Ambulance Service were called to the location outside the old toy shop in Cockermouth, following a report around 2pm that a woman in her 70s had fallen.
The woman had suffered a head injury in her fall and was taken to hospital by the ambulance service.
