UPDATED measures to deter anti-social behaviour have been put in place for Carlisle.
Changes to the Public Space Protection Order have been agreed after a public consultation by the city council.
The order aims to keep Carlisle clean and maintain the quality of the environment and green spaces.
The order provides "wide ranging and flexible powers to help tackle anti-social and nuisance behaviour" which focuses on the identified problem behaviour in a specific location and imposing restrictions on the offending activities.
Councillor Elizabeth Mallinson, portfolio holder for Communities, Health and Wellbeing, said: “This as a shared responsibility that cannot be achieved without the support of the people of Carlisle.”
It will come into effect from March for three years.
