A Wigton man has been banned from driving for 12 months after pleading guilty to driving while under the influence of cannabis.
Marko Vasilic, 21, of Union Street, Wigton, committed the offence on May 2 last year.
West Cumbria Magistrates' Court, sitting at Carlisle Magistrates Court, heard that Vasilic drove a Seat Ibiza on a road in Boltongate.
He was found to have 2.1 microgrammes of a controlled drug Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (cannabis) in his blood - exceeding the specified limit.
Vasilic was disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 12 months.
He was also ordered to pay a fine of £400, a surcharge to victim services of £40 and £600 costs to the Crown Prosecution Services.
