A LICENCE application has been lodged with the council for a new bar in Cockermouth.
The applicant Fresh Keg Ltd has applied to Allerdale Borough Council for a premises licence for Verdeco, 20 Lorton Street, Cockermouth for the sale and supply of alcohol from Monday to Sunday, 12pm to 10pm.
The venue plans to be open to the public from Monday to Sunday, 8am to 10pm.
The building has not been previously used in this capacity and last housed Stay Lakeland travel agents.
The plans could provide fresh hope for Allerdale’s hospitality sector as the region looks to recover economically post-pandemic.
