VUE Cinema have announced that they will be reopening their venues across England, Wales and Scotland on May 17.

Avid film-goers will soon be able to return to their local screen and enjoy new releases, like ‘Peter Rabbit 2’ and ‘Sir Alex Ferguson: Never Give In’, and old classics, like The Lord of the Rings and Taxi Driver.

Here are some of the changes that will be taking place when customers are allowed to return.

Online booking is being encouraged and scannable tickets will be accessible from your smartphones.

As part of the Test and Trace initiative, customers aged 16 and over will be asked to provide details upon booking.

If you haven’t booked online, you will need to check in using the NHS Covid-19 app.

Socially distanced seating has been built into the booking system and those in your booking will automatically be seated apart from others.

All customers will be required to wear a face mask during their visit, although this can be removed when eating or drinking.

A Safety Team will be on hand to ensure customers are following the correct guidelines.

Hand sanitiser will be available, and screens and arm rests will be regularly disinfected between each screening.

The number of touchpoints in foyers will be reduced and contactless payments will be encouraged.
