Drivers on the M6 are facing delays
DRIVERS in Cumbria are facing almost two weeks of delays while work is carried out on a major route.
Barrier work is being carried out on the M6 between junction 39 at Shap and junction 40 at Penrith.
According to Cumbria Police the work began on Thursday, May 5 and will last until May 18.
The ongoing work means one lane will be closed in both directions for the time being.
