A WORLD-famous singer-songwriter has been in the Lake District today raising money for a suicide prevention charity.

Olly Murs is one member of a group that is climbing '24 peaks in 24 hours' in honour of television presenter Caroline Flack. Flack died by suicide in February 2020 at the age of 40.

Murs, known for hit songs such as Dance with Me Tonight and for being a judge on ITV show The Voice, posted a picture of himself at Rossett Pike, in the Southern Fells region, to Instagram earlier today.

Murs has been joined by other close friends and family of Flack on the two-day trek to raise money for the charity Samaritans.
