A COCKERMOUTH group will be holding a film night this weekend to raise funds for a range of local charities.
'Withnail and I' will be staged at the town's Kirkgate Centre at 7pm, on Sunday, October 10.
The event has been organised by Cockermouth Rotary Club. Tickets are £8, available at the door or from Billy Bowman's music shop in Lowther Went.
Rotarian Alastair Sharp said: "Withnail and I is set in Cumbria and has been described as one of the funniest films ever made.
"Cockermouth Rotary was established in 1939 and has an unbroken record of service to the local and international community through fundraising and service. We have continued our work, often via Zoom, during Covid and have worked with various community groups.
"Our charity work and the donations we make locally and internationally depend on our fundraising activities."
