A dangerous tree notification has been submitted to the borough council for approval.

Allerdale Borough Council has received an application to remove three trees which are classed as dead or dangerous in Cockermouth.

The application concerns the old garage adjacent to the Kingfisher Inn on Crown Street.

Trees set to be felled are causing damage to the garage wall.

An application has also been submitted to construct a first floor extension at 51 Mayo Park, Cockermouth over the existing garage, new entrance canopy and the installation of solar panels to the South-Eastern roof.

The latest estimated decision date for the application is December 6.

Plans have also been submitted to convert a garage at 1 Newlands Road in Cockermouth forming a replacement bedroom with an extension.

The public can view all planning applications submitted in their area via the Allerdale Borough Council planning portal.
