Police are investigating an assault and are looking for three men.
It happened on October 13 at about 2pm in Wigton and a resident has been intimidated and assaulted by doorstep traders.
A spokesman for the police said: "Three men had been employed to carry out work at a house. Following a dispute over payment, the resident has been intimated and assaulted, causing no injury.
"The three suspects are white and described as being aged between 30 and 40 years old.
"One of the suspects is described as stocky with short, cropped, dark hair. Another is described as very slim with untidy brown hair and a goatee beard. All were wearing workwear clothing. The three men had Irish accents and arrived at the location in three blue Toyota vans with Irish number plates.
"We are appealing for information from members of the public who may have seen the suspects and may be able to help clarify their identities.
"Of particular interest would be members of the public who may also have employed the services of the suspects at their homes on or around October 13."
