Fundraising events are finally set to return for one Cumbrian charity after a two-year hiatus as a result of the pandemic.
Chrysalis, an organisation that supports adults with learning disabilities, has announced that its popular annual Christmas gift fair will return on October 31.
It’s a welcome announcement for the Wigton-based charity as not only is it an opportunity for it to begin fundraising again, it is also a chance to get out and about in the community too.
Claire Doherty, chief officer of Chrysalis, said: “We’re very pleased that the Chrysalis Gift Fair will once again be going ahead at the end of the month.
“It was a big miss from our calendar last year, so we’d like to thank Ann and Barbara for putting it together.
“Now, more than ever, it is important to support local charities - we look forward to seeing you there.”
There will be lots of stalls selling a mixture of items that would make perfect gifts for loved ones at Christmas.
Chrysalis will have a stall at the event selling products from its popular wholefood shop as well as pottery items made by its members.
There will also be a raffle with prizes donated by local businesses.
Covid safety measures and government guidance in place at the time will be followed during the fair.
The Chrysalis Gift Fair will be held at The Greenhill Hotel near Wigton on October 31 between 10am-4pm.
