A TOWN is getting ready for Christmas with an event for all the family.
Egremont will be hosting a Christmas Fayre in the Market Hall on November 20 and 21.
The town's amenity committee have decided not to run the full winter wonderland event due to the coronavirus pandemic.
A spokesperson said: “We have a variety of stalls offering, gifts, crafts, food and much more.
“Upstairs is where the real magic will happen. We will have Santa’s grotto where children can visit for free, go home with a early Christmas present and spend time with Father Christmas.
“We understand that Christmas is an expensive time of the year, we try to fundraise as much as possible so we can keep the winter wonderland as cheap as possible.
“Recognising that we have had a difficult few years we hope parents and grand parents will be happy to hear Santa’s visit is free." The events will take place from 9.30am until 4.30pm.
