A LISTED building consent planning application has been submitted with plans for a single storey rear kitchen extension.
Allerdale Borough Council has received an application for planning approval with the intention of building a rear extension to the kitchen at Whitekeld Farm in Ullock.
Sue Watson and Richard Barnes have applied for the planning consent and agent Red Raven Design Limited has compiled the application.
In their design and access statement submitted to council they said: “The design approach adopted seeks to make the least impact on the historic fabric and allow the existing massing and form to be read uninterrupted and intact.
“By adopting a predominantly glass structure discretely positioned to the side of the main house and behind and adjoining barn, it allows the proposal to have minimal impact on the building and avoid any impact on the principal elevations.”
The existing layout will be retained with minor alternations to increase the area of the kitchen.
There will be no change to vehicular access or change to the scale of the property.
The public can view and comment on all planning applications submitted for their area via the Allerdale Borough Council planning portal.
