THIS week marks the 37th anniversary of Band Aid.
On November 25 1984, the nation's favourite rock stars gathered at Sarm Studios in London to record “Do They Know It’s Christmas”, all proceeds going to Ethiopian famine relief.
Seven months later, millions across the globe watched the 'Live Aid' benefit concert from Wembley Stadium, with news reports the next day saying that the concert had raised between £40-50 million for charity.
In today's nostalgia section, we take a look back at charity concerts that have been held in the area over the years.
We also see Sir Bob feature, having performed in Whitehaven in 2014.
