A SIX-HOUR search for a missing woman in the early hours of this morning yielded no results.
Maryport Rescue were called by Belfast Coastguard at 12.17am to assist colleagues from Maryport Coastguard, Whitehaven Coastguard, Burgh By Sands Coastguard, St Bee's Lifeboat and Cumbria Police.
They were looking for a person described as a 'high-risk missing female'.
A police helicopter was involved in the search, which stretched from St Bee's carpark to Nethertown twice.
The search went on for six hours but the teams reported that nothing was found.
