PANTO will be back this year with a bang - as Workington & District Amateur Musical Society return to the Carnegie with Cinderella.

The panto will be the 60th Anniversary Pantomime for the group and is set to be a delight for them all.

Long-time WADAMS member Georgia Hunter will play the leading role of Cinderella, alongside her lifelong friend Emily Houghton who will take to the stage as Prince Charming.

The show will be a welcome comeback for the group, who had to postpone the pantomime last year due to the coronavirus pandemic and social distancing.

Kimberley Hazzard, who’s directing Cinderella this year, said : "It’s now less than 4 weeks to go until opening night and Cinderella is set to be a right Christmas cracker! It has been amazing being back at WADAMS HQ rehearsing for our 60th Anniversary Pantomime; rehearsals have been filled with laughter and with such an experienced and strong cast – it’s been a real pleasure watching the Panto come to life.

"I hope the people of Workington are ready to be thoroughly entertained, get your tickets quick."

The show will run from December,26 to December, 30.

Tickets are still available to buy at or from the Carnegie box office.
