County Road in Ulverston is closed for the time being
POLICE have closed a major road connecting South Cumbria after a crash.
Due to an accident between two vehicles just after lunchtime on Tuesday, the A590 is closed in both directions.
This is on County Road, Ulverston, in both directions between Brogden Street and the roundabout.
The police say that the road will remain closed for some time, whilst emergency services attend the scene and the road is made safe.
Social media users have reported both police and fire engines on the scene.
A man in his 30s from Wales has been arrested on suspicion of drug driving.
