Number 9- Maryport harbour is a perfectly picturesque are and is perfect for a weekend stroll. As it's the Easter holidays why not take the kids to the Lake District Coast Aquarium situated on the harbourside. 

Number 8- If the weather is nice then there is nothing better than spending a day by the seaside, Silloth is a wonderful coastal town with places to eat and relax. 

Number 7- Just down the road from Silloth is the scenic town of Allonby which has a great ice cream store the kids are sure to love. 

Number 6- Workington centre also has some brilliant places to go for a drink which is ideal for a Friday or Saturday night. Some top picks are The Well and The Blue Bell Inn. 

Number 5- If you love football then why not go and support your local team as Workington Reds take on Rylands this Saturday. The game kicks off at 3pm so be sure not to miss it. 

Number 4- The newly opened Ritz Cinema is a must for movie lovers in the area. This weekend you can catch screenings of Sonic The Hedgehog 2 and Morbius. 

Number 3- Allerdale is home to some of the most beautiful parts of the Lake District with Buttermere and Loweswater being a great idea for a small hike. 

Number 2- Keswick also has a lot to offer with a gorgeous town centre, picturesque lake and town park what's not to like. 

Number 1- If you enjoy immersing yourself in history and culture then this weekend would be a good opportunity to visit the Helena Thompson Museum in Workington.
