The Karaoke Corner set to open in Workington this year

The Karaoke Corner will open on the corner of Wilson Street in later this year, much to the joy of eagerly awaited punters.

Owner of the business Alice Turner is excited to open the doors to the business - that is said to be the first of its kind in the area.

Alice said: "Karaoke Corner is an exciting, brand new business hoping to open its doors for locals by July. There’s nothing quite like it in Cumbria, only in cities.

"It's not a typical ‘walk in’ bar with karaoke available that many may think. It’s purely based on a booking only system to provide the ultimate privacy and safety for all customers.

"It offers two fabulously, themed and quirky private karaoke rooms which are available to hire for both kids and adults celebrations."

The Karaoke Corner is said to be a perfect venue for anyone who has a birthday, stag or hen party, baby shower, works party or as Alice says - for those who 'just love to sing with friends.'

The rooms are designed for people to let their hair down and 'transform into their musical icon' with the use of fancy dress, wigs and props amongst friends, with the whole venue decked out to create a party feel within the town.

The venue is also set to play host to children's parties. They are offering gem eyes, glitter arms and awards for each singer to make it that extra special experience.

They will serve both non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages which include music themed cocktails and mocktails.

The business has also teamed up with next door's restaurant which will provide food options.

The venue is already gaining popularity in the town with bookings at the Kareoke Corner already confirmed and many people showing strong interest in the business's Facebook page.
