AN HISTORIC 14th Century castle which was reputedly visited by Mary Queen of Scots has been listed on the market for £800,000.

During the English civil war, the castle suffered considerable damage and had to be rebuilt, which saw the premise extended in the 16th and 17th centuries and turned into a residence - now boasting six versatile bedrooms.
