ARMED Forces Day is set to take place in Workington this weekend- to celebrate those who are serving in the armed force.
Armed Forces Day will be held in the town this Saturday, June 25 with members of various military groups parading through the town before an afternoon of fun and get together in The Royal British Legion.
The day will start with a parade from Pow Street in the town at 11am and will make its way down Vulcans Lane and into the park- this means the road along Pow Street and Finkle Street will be closed from 11am until 12pm.
The parade will then make it's way to the Legion where refreshments and entertainment will be available.
Organisers have said the day is a great chance for young and old to come together and celebrate the fantastic work that the armed forces do for our country.
