RESIDENTS have praised the commitment of volunteers after the last vaccine clinic was held after 100,000 jabs.

The Rotary Clubs of Furnes, Furness Peninsula and Barrow, together with 120 volunteers, have been helping to organise and steward the Covid vaccination programme at the Alfred Barrow Medical Centre since December 2020.

As rotary coordinator, Peter Garwood drew up the rotas for each vaccination session and over the whole programme produced over 364 rotas.
