A man who was struck by a car on the A66 at Baron’s Hill near Stainton, Penrith, has died.
The collision occurred shortly after 11am yesterday, August5, and involved a pedestrian and a Skoda Fabia.

A spokesperson said: "The pedestrian, a man in his 90s from Penrith, was taken from the scene by air ambulance but has subsequently died.
"The driver of the Skoda, a man in his 80s from Buxton, was uninjured.
"The A66 was closed whilst officers conducted their enquiries. It reopened at around 5pm."
