The smiles say it all!

Hundreds of autistic children had exclusive use of a Silloth funfair - with no queues, big crowds or music.

The event was organised by west Cumbrian charity Bee Unique in conjunction with Fletcher's Funfair.

The charity is the vision of Nadia Shaw and Dave Parsons, of Flimby - parents and carers to two non verbal boys, both diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Condition with Associated Learning Difficulties.

This was the second year that the funfair offered them exclusive use for two days. The children had lots of fun before gathering for a picnic on the green. They then headed to the town's water park for a splash around.

"The weather was fantastic and everyone had a fabulous day," said Nadia.

"Bee Unique families came out in their droves in the glorious sunshine to make the most of this fun-filled day.

"In the funfair, they experienced all the rides in an autism friendly environment, with no queues or loud music.

"After lunch, parents and carers got to enjoy a chat with one another while their children splashed about in the water park."
