A shoplifter was in court after stealing a multipack of Easter eggs, Coca Cola cans and children’s drinks from a supermarket.
Diane Rawlinson, 38, pleaded guilty to theft from a shop when she appeared at Workington Magistrates’ Court.
Rawlinson, of Mitchell Avenue, Northside, Workington, stole the items, worth £19, from Morrisons in Workington on March 11.
She was fined £40 and must pay £85 costs and a £34 victim surcharge. The defendant was also ordered to pay £19 in compensation to Morrisons.
An application was made for the amount owed to be deducted from Rawlinson’s benefits.
