A SERIES of events will be held to raise awareness of modern slavery.
The events have been organised by the Diocese of Carlisle.
The Raising Awareness of Modern Slavery in Cumbria events will run from April 27 to May 1.
On Monday, April 29, there will be a talk on modern slavery by Caroline Virgo at The Salvation Army Citadel in Whitehaven.
A spokesperson said: "There will be a series of events, including workshops and preaching, to raise awareness and understanding of modern slavery in your community."
