Coldplay has announced the first four dates for their Music of the Spheres World Tour 2022.

They will perform at Wembley for three nights on August 12, 13 and 16 before moving to Glasgow's Hampden Park National Stadium on August 23.

The tour showcases songs from their new album Music of the Spheres, which is due to be released on October 15 2021.

Previously, frontman Chris Martin has said the band will not tour until they can ensure it is carbon neutral.

“‘We said about 18 months ago, we won’t do a big tour again until we can make it super clean and super green,’ the 44-year-old told the Metro back in May.

“So by the time that we are able to announce a tour, it will be as green as we can possibly make it. Always with room to improve.”

The band has already released three singles from the highly-anticipated album, including Higher Power and My Universe, which is in collaboration with South Korean pop band BTS.

Tickets for the tour will be released on Friday October 22 at 10am and early-access will be given to those who pre-order the album.

Tickets can be purchased on Friday October 22nd at 10am via Ticketmaster.
