Workington Reds boss Dave Hewson was delighted after his side secured a home tie in yesterday's FA Cup third round qualifying draw.

Reds were pulled out of the hat at home to Kidsgrove Athletic for the next round, to be played on October 6 at Borough Park.

Hewson is pleased to see his side at home but warned that although Kidsgrove may be in a lower league, they will be tough opponents.

"We are really pleased to get a home draw firstly," said Hewson.

"But we know once you get to this stage of the competition there are no easy games.

"We are pleased to be at home but this will be another tough test against some good opposition and one that we will have to make sure we are prepared for."

As well as progress in the prestigious competition, there is also £15,000 at stake for the winners.

But first Reds have to look back to the Evostik Northern Premier League and tonight's visit of Marine.

And he is appealing for consistency, following on from their 4-1 win at Knaresborough in the cup at the weekend.

"We need to aim for consistency and to transfer the positives out of Saturday's win to this match," said Hewson.

"League position at this stage of the season means nothing and we know Marine are a good side with some very good players and a new manager as well.

"All these things make for a very difficult game. It is never easy against Marine but we will go in confident after the win on Saturday.

"It is back to the league and we need to carry on our home form and look to follow up our cup success."

Hewson said it was good to see several names on the scoresheet which would further boost his strike-force.

"It was great to see Scott Allison back on the scoresheet and Sam Joel came on off the bench and got one, with Niall Cowperthwaite coming on to help create one," added Hewson.

"It is all positive but now we have to carry it on into other games."

Hewson and joint manager Lee Andrews may have to make a couple of changes tonight with Conor Tinnion unlikely to feature due to a niggling knee injury.

And there is also a slight doubt over Gari Rowntree, who will get a late fitness test but with players coming back for Reds, they do have cover.

"We have got options for the first time in a long time, which is good," added Hewson.

"And we have personnel who can cover if lads are out. The team that we pick we need to do the job against the opposition.

"So it is not always down to which players are in form but rather the ones we need to do the job against a particular team."
