Cockermouth Rugby Union Club's successful youth team of the 1990s are being brought back together this weekend for a reunion.

Club volunteers Chris Wright, Andrew Branthwaite, Paul Greening and Matt Woodcock have got together to organise a players' reunion for the anyone who played under Bobby Huck in the 1990s.

Chris Wright is keen to see as many former youth players as possible return for the event on Saturday.

The reunion will coincide with Cockermouth's Cumbria League home game against Millom.

Wright said: "This was a great period for the club producing over 25 county players, six North of England players and winning a number of Cumbria Cups at U17s, U18s, U19s and U21s.

"Any players, coaches, parents involved in the Cockermouth RUFC youth section from the 1990s are invited to the game, with the bar opening from 1pm, food at half time and presentations and speeches after the game.

"We look forward to welcoming you there."
