Tony Drago, the fastest man in snooker, is putting on a master class in Workington later next week.

Known as the Tornado, 46-year-old Drago, is heading to Workington Legion for an exhibition of snooker on Thursday.

Drago, who has netted more than £1million in prize money during an distinguished career, once made a break of 149, believed to be the second highest of all time.

Maltese Drago was a career high 10th in the snooker world rankings and made the quarter-finals of the World Championships.

As a pool player, Drago starred for Europe in the Mosconi Cup, beating the USA twice and earning the title of Most Valuable Player for the 2007 triumph in Las Vegas.

He will visit Workington Legion, who ply their trade in division two of the Window Outlet Cockermouth District Snooker League.

Doors open for the free event at 7pm with a buffet and raffle also on offer.
