Glenn Murray admits the win was more important than his 100th Brighton goal after Albion beat Wolves 1-0.

Striker Murray, from Maryport, brought up his century at the Amex on Saturday, a week after he was knocked unconscious and swallowed his tongue at Newcastle.

“To get 100 goals is great but the points are more important,” said the 35-year-old former Workington Reds and Carlisle United man.

“For large spells, they had the lion’s share of possession but we dealt with it well. “[Lewis] Dunk and [Shane] Duffy, they are massive for us.

“We struggled for clean-sheets at the start of the season but we have got our ship together and it’s huge for confidence.”

Brighton travel to Everton next Saturday as they look for a fourth straight Premier League victory.
