The pair have taken up the second-year option of their deals and will be back at the club next season as Leon Pryce’s squad continues to come together for another tilt at promotion.
Forward Gordon joined Town during the 2017 season from the amateur game and made an immediate impact to earn a contract.
Back-rower Kurt was a key member of St Benedict’s rugby union side with his sibling and joined rivals Whitehaven in 2017 but switched to Town this year and enjoyed a successful campaign which saw his game come on leaps and bounds.
Town’s director of rugby, Les Ashe, believes it is great news that the brothers have committed to the club for the second year.
He added: “They are both cracking players and great to have at the club.
“We’re big believers in having strong camaraderie between the players and these lads really do help with that.
“They like a good laugh with their teammates but are 100 per cent focused on the pitch.
“Gordon had a very bad injury against Bradford at Derwent Park when he was in a rich vein of form.
“To come back as early as he did was amazing. He basically had to start his preseason again mid-season but he was chomping at the bit to come back and that shows what great commitment he has to the club.
“Kurt is a cracking player who has really progressed over the season.
“He’s a strong-running back rower who always gives 100 per cent in attack and defence.
“I think both players will have a big part to play next season as we build on the excellent season just finished.”
n Hemel Stags have withdrawn from Betfred League 1, with plans being drawn up for an 11-team fixture list next season.
