Workington Town will start the new League One season at expected promotion rivals Oldham.

Town fans will see their first home game on February 24 against North Wales Crusaders, while the Good Friday derby will be at Derwent Park on April 19 with the return at the Recreation Ground on August 4.

They complete the regular season at home to Doncaster on September 8.

Town face Haven in the annual Ike Southward Memorial Trophy at Derwent Park on January 13.

Southward coached both clubs and the silverware has moved between them since his death.

The home side will hope to reclaim the trophy after losing out last season.

Town chairman Les Smallwood: “The Ike Southward memorial game is always the highlight of our preseason build up.”
